How to Store Roll-On Waxes & Tips on What to Do If Spillage Occurs

 Our roll-ons are crafted with a low melting point formula for a gentle and skin-safe waxing experience. However, in the warmer summer months, this feature may also make the wax more susceptible to softening or leaking during shipping or storage.

🌡️ Why Is My Roll-On Wax Leaking?

There are two common reasons wax may leak from a cartridge:

During warmer months or when stored in hot, non-climate-controlled environments, the wax may soften and become more fluid. This can lead to

If cartridges are stored on their side or upside down, softened wax can shift and leak out of the applicator head. Because Nova roll-ons use a soft wax formula, this can occasionally happen when not stored upright.

To prevent leaks and keep your cartridges in top shape, follow these storage tips:

  • Store in a cool, dry place – Avoid hot cars, windowsills, or direct sunlight.

  • Keep cartridges upright – Prevent unnecessary pressure on the roller head.

  • Leave the protective film intact – Keep the seal in place until you're ready to use it.

  • Avoid refrigeration – This can create condensation when brought back to room temperature, affecting wax flow.

💧 What to Do if a Leak Happens

If you notice wax has leaked, don’t stress — it’s sticky, but manageable!

  • Gently wipe off any residue using a wax remover or oil-based cleanser.

  • If the cartridge is still sealed and sanitary, press down the protective film securely to prevent further leaking.

  • Store the cartridge in a sealed container or bag to keep your tools clean and prevent sticking.
